About me

I am a registered General and Mental Health Nurse with 30+ years experience in many areas , including : Adult, Adolescent, Mother and Baby, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Addiction and Dual Diagnosis. I am passionate about helping and supporting nurses and all other Healthcare Clinicians to reflect on the incredible complexity of our work. Exploring the nature of the challenges that come when working with clients and others on an intimate and personal level.

My experience

I have been providing Clinical Supervision/ Reflective Practice for Registered Nurses both working in Mental Health and General Nursing for over 3 years. Both through an organizational structure in a public health facility and also through my privately run practice. Both of which have enormously rewarding. My private work has given me the opportunity to supervise nurses from interstate, Maternal and Child Health Nurses through local government councils and the those working in the peer support space.
Thankfully, I have had the opportunity to have my own professional supervision throughout my career in Mental Health. This has given me a space to explore and understand myself both professionally and personally. It has enriched my professional practice and helped me to understand how incredibly complex the work of a healthcare clinician is.

My current role/work

Private Practice - Clinical Supervision 'Reflective practice for Healthcare Professionals'
Consultation Liaison Psychiatry - AOD Dual Diagnosis Clinician Austin Health

My training

Role Theory Model - For Clinical Supervision (Clinical Supervision Consultancy)

My approach to supervision

Utilizing Role Theory and Reflective Practice, sessions are considered to be ‘protected time’ where you can speak openly and honestly about the challenges you face in your work without judgement.
Helping clinicians to develop a curiosity around reactions and emotions in relation to complex interpersonal and therapeutic relationships.
